In this relaxed half-day workshop, you’ll spend plenty of hands-on time working with beautiful spring flowers and natural materials, creating a number of different arrangements inspired by the garden and the season.

You’ll begin by exploring the range of flowers and foliage grown here at Micklems Farm and learning how to cut and condition fresh stems. We’ll also look at seasonal ingredients and natural elements you might gather from your own garden to bring movement and texture to your arrangements.

Jess will then guide you through several different arrangements, including a spring bowl, delicate bud vases and a mini ikebana piece (a Japanese style of flower arranging that celebrates space and natural form). Along the way, you’ll learn how different flowers, foliage and textures come together to create balanced, seasonal designs.

You’ll create your own arrangements to take home, with plenty of guidance throughout the workshop.

The workshop includes a bowl, three glass bottles for bud vases, and a small dish for ikebana arranging.

Please note: This workshop will take place in the 2 storey barn and is on the first floor up a staircase.

Please park in the overflow car park signposted on the left when you come through the main gate.
