Level: Improver - not suitable for complete beginners. Attendees should have previous experience with pointed pen calligraphy.

Join Louise Ralphs from LouPaper for an improvers Christmas themed modern calligraphy workshop. Perfect for anyone that has attended a beginners workshop, or those that have a basic understanding of modern calligraphy. You will learn how to develop your own unique modern calligraphy style, improve your overall technique and be introduced to metallic ink and different surfaces, creating your own Christmas cards and tags. Working on a written quote or phrase, we will focus on improving your overall modern calligraphy technique, exploring spacing, joining and proportions, with the aim of creating a finished piece at the end of the class.

The cost includes your very own calligraphy starter kit (worth £15); a jar of ink, pen, nib, blank cards and practice papers, along with a workbook of exercises and tips, so you can continue practicing at home.

There will be plenty of time to practice as well as 1-to-1 guidance throughout the class, helping you to find your flow.

Christmas themed, you’ll learn to create beautiful Christmas cards and tags to wow your friends and family. This class is perfect for those looking to unlock their creativity and explore the art of calligraphy, with a festive feel.

Please wear suitable clothing, that you don’t mind getting ink on.

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you cancel your booking, we are unable to offer a refund. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using the contact page on the Micklems Farm website. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
