CERAMICS: SEASIDE TRINKETS VASE
CERAMICS: SEASIDE TRINKETS VASE
Thursday 19th March
Tutor: Chloe Phillips
10:00 - 16:00
Level: Beginner and up
Join Chloe for a creative ceramic workshop where you’ll design and handcraft a coastal-inspired vase — adorned with seashell prints, cast 3D shells, and delicate hangers for adding pearls and trinkets. Perfect for any skill level, your vase will be built using traditional ceramic techniques, allowing you to explore form, texture, and surface decoration. You’ll press real shell patterns into the clay, cast and attach sculpted shell forms, and learn how to incorporate hanging elements that give your piece a beautifully tactile and decorative finish. Once your vase is complete, you’ll select from a range of glazes that capture the natural colours of shells. These glazes will enhance every texture, curve, and detail of your design.
After your workshop, Chloe will dry, glaze, and fire your vase — a process that takes around 4-5 weeks. When finished, your piece will be returned to Micklems for you to collect and treasure, ready to display fresh flowers in!
