I am an experienced artist and tutor specialising in printmaking, acrylics & mixed media. Having studied design and illustration at art college I worked for many years as a commercial artist… I still do freelance illustration when time allows. I love the social aspect of teaching – sharing my enthusiasm for a subject and enabling people to learn new skills and achieve great results. My workshops are quite informal, usually consisting of a number of demos throughout the day, a structured project or series of exercises and time to work individually with everyone. I generally provide starting points and photos but encourage students to work with their own images and go ‘off piste’ if their work develops in a different direction… it’s all about having fun and seeing what happens! www.karencarterart.co.uk
