A peaceful and relaxing workshop perfect for total beginners to explore the art of papercutting. An ideal day to switch-off and embrace the mindful art of papercutting. 

A selection of templates will be available for you to choose from on the day and everyone should leave with a framed A4 piece. Templates include birthday cards, animals, typographic quotes, flowers and more, with many featuring customisable areas for you to personalise. 

The day will start with demonstrations and warm up exercises to get your papercutting fingers ready, before moving on to your chosen pieces. The day will be broken up with tips on framing, drawing your own templates and how to add colour to the papercuts.

Sophie will have all the tools you need to borrow for the day and various papers to mount your finished pieces on. 

There will also be a selection of supplies and templates for you to buy if you’ve caught the papercutting bug. Please bring cash if you think this might be of interest. 

What to bring:

• Everything you need will be supplied for the day, but do bring along a favoured scalpel (and spare blades) if you have one

• Your glasses if you wear them

• A packed lunch

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using the contact page on the Micklems Farm website. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
