Join Chloe for a ceramic decorating workshop where you’ll learn the art of using ceramic glazes to create watercolour effects. 

Suitable for all skill levels, this relaxed and inspiring session will guide you through layering colour, creating soft washes, and building delicate botanical designs inspired by flowers, foliage, and nature. Chloe will demonstrate a range of glazing techniques to help you achieve depth, movement, and a watercolour effect on ceramic surfaces.

You’ll work from a pre prepared bisque-fired chip and dip bowl, allowing you to focus entirely on decoration and creative expression. Design ideas and examples will be available on the day, but you’re welcome to bring your own inspiration if you have a particular colour palette, floral theme, or style in mind.

If you have any favourite brushes at home, please do bring these along to use, though there will also be plenty available to use on the day. 

Once your piece is complete, it will be glazed and kiln-fired by Chloe — a process that takes around 1 week. When finished, your bowl will be returned to Micklems for you to collect.

Materials:
Materials will be provided by the tutor. The cost of these is £10 which includes the bisque-fired chip and dip bowl, glazes, glazing and firing, payable to the tutor during the course.

What to bring:

• Apron

• Your favourite paint brushes 

• Packed lunch

• Any design inspirations

Included on the day: 

• Any other materials not specified for student to bring/pay for on the day

• Expert tuition

• 1 to 1 guidance

• Detailed demonstrations

• A selection of tea, freshly brewed coffee, biscuits and delicious cakes. If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please feel free to bring along your own provisions/milk alternatives etc.

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using the contact page on the Micklems Farm website. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
