CERAMICS: COUNTRYSIDE TEALIGHT HOLDER
CERAMICS: COUNTRYSIDE TEALIGHT HOLDER
Wednesday 22nd July
Tutor: Chloe Phillips
10:00 - 16:00
Level: Beginner and up
Join Chloe for a creative ceramic workshop where you’ll design and hand-build your own whimsical ceramic tealight holder, inspired by the countryside. Suitable for all skill levels, you’ll begin by forming a hollow spherical base using pinch pots before adding holes for light to shine through. You’ll then build a small house structure and decorative elements on top, learning how to securely attach components and develop surface interest. Design ideas and examples will be available on the day, but you’re welcome to bring your own inspiration if you have a particular theme in mind.
Once your piece is complete, it will be carefully dried, glazed, and fired by Chloe — a process that takes around 4–5 weeks. When finished, your handmade ceramic sculpture will be returned to Micklems for you to collect and enjoy as a decorative object or tealight feature at home.
