I’m a self taught jewellery designer, passionate about sustainability and I adore the Bohemia style! In 2019 I set up my small business ‘Born Again Bohemia’.

I’m drawn to colour and different materials and textures which is why I love beads! The endless possibilities and looks you can create with beads means my working day is never dull!  Collecting reclaimed beads and building a substantial collection has been part of my journey; I love that a tired piece of old jewellery can be taken apart and beads rescued & redesigned into something special.  I dismantle, clean and store my beads with great affection!  They are stored & displayed in beautiful indian carved wood trays all in little jars...caring for them in this way gives me great inspiration.   I create unique, soulful Bohemia jewellery build to last & that gives a nod to resisting the fast fashion and ‘throw away culture’ we often find ourselves in. 

I studied Fashion and Fabrics for my A-Levels and as much as a love fashion I now refuse to consume unethical and unsustainable products preferring preloved or small transparent businesses...in 2021 I bought zero new clothes!   Teaching is my passion...I was a primary school teacher for 16 years and so thinking about the kind of world we leave behind for our younger generation is of great interest to me.  Teaching a creative subject is very rewarding, I encourage students to explore their curiosity without hesitation and I especially enjoy providing a unique Bohemia ‘experience’ in my sessions.

Outside of designing jewellery I love gardening, exploring unspoilt islands & beaches and making memories with my  children.
