I gained a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and spent most of my working life as a book designer for a major publishing company. I left publishing in 2011 to devote time to my great love of painting and the following year and have been painting and teaching ever since.
Currently I am concentrating on working with watercolours and acrylic inks using lively brushwork and dynamic colour combinations. Over the years I have worked in oils, acrylics and watercolours, and striven to develop my techniques in all media. Prints of my work are available from John Lewis and Dunelm.
I love teaching adults to paint and aim to keep my workshops informal and friendly – it shouldn’t feel like school. I am used to working with classes of mixed abilities and therefore I demonstrate techniques throughout my courses so that students learn skills which they can then take away into their future painting practice.
