I’ve been a teacher all my working life and have taught a wide range of subjects including maths, geology, textiles and cricket!

When I was young I did a science degree but have always loved making and mid career I took a C&G course in Stitched Textiles and that then became my chosen subject.

A friend once described me as a colourist and I think this explains my work well. I combine fabrics, threads and wool using stitch, weaving and rag rugging to create pictures and items in beautiful colour combinations.

I enjoy passing on my skills to other and seeing the wonderful things they create.
