I am a practising potter with many years of experience teaching adults from beginners and onwards. I predominantly use hand-building techniques to form my own work, eg pinching, coiling and slab building although I do occasionally throw on the wheel. My work is inspired by the ceramics of Korea and Japan – strong simple forms with lively glazes and different firing methods. I am very keen to pass on my enthusiasm for pottery and ceramics – I like to show people that with simple techniques they can make something they can be proud of. I firmly believe creativity to be essential for the human soul and that everyone is capable of being creative – you just have to find to right thing for you! I have a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Creative Design & Ceramics together with a Level 4 Diploma in Teaching for Life Long Learning. www,debbiepage.co.uk
