VALLARI HARSWAL

VALLARI HARSHWAL

V H Studio is a design studio run by Vallari Harshwal, specialising in ceramics creating tableware, homeware and lights. The studio is situated in the scenic countryside of Hare Hatch near Henley on Thames. Handcrafting timeless, simple objects which stand the test of time brings me joy. My work is an essence of my Indian heritage juxtaposed with my life in England. I am drawn towards the quiet and unexplored aspect of clay  a material and its processes. Trained in various techniques of ceramic production, I use my experience and skills to probe and explore the nature of clay as a medium.

I received a Ceramic fellowship from the Charles Wallace Scholarship Trust  Award from British Council, I have been working as a designer for close to 25 years, first 10 of which were spent in India working as a designer for design houses like Good Earth Studios, Ishika Tableware, Piramyd Retail stores etc.

Since moving to UK, I set up a design gallery to curate and promote British and Indian designers on various platforms between UK and India. As a designer, I have showcased  my work at West Elm, Liberty Store London, Clerkenwell Design Week, Handmade at Kew to name a few.

Join me on this journey as I explore my work further and share it with the world. Today, I stand at the junction of making timeless handcrafted contemporary tableware and functional art alongside offering design services to discerning clients.

It has become a journey of introspection, while sharing the outcome with the world. Come, walk with me!
