On this workshop you will create your own unique fabric using a combination of fibres, threads and a variety of fine gauzy materials. Starting with a hessian base you will build up a surface using bonding, hand stitch and a layer of machine stitch to finish.

This technique allows you to use up small amounts of precious fabrics and your outcome will depend on the fabrics and threads incorporated into the work.

To begin you will make a sample which can be made into a small item. You will then plan, design and make a larger piece. Instructions will be given on how to turn the fabric you have made into a book cover, cushion or a simple bag.

Includes - All materials. Tea, coffee and biscuits. (Please bring your own sewing machine and any fabrics you would like to incorporate.)

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. You may transfer your place on a workshop to another person at any time.
