Learn some simple printing methods using basic lino-cutting techniques to make greetings cards, fabric and clay decorations in this structured but relaxed workshop. We will look at creating a design from your source material (the tutor will also bring a range of designs to work from), various ways of making and using a printing plate, and printing by hand using a variety of approaches.

No experience necessary… lots of step-by-step demos & individual help. We will be using water-based inks during the workshop… and possibly glitter! A fun, creative day suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills.

To bring: Drawing pencil, rubber, ruler, scissors, glue stick. Basic sewing kit if you wish to stitch your fabric prints (although this stage could be completed at home). Rolling pin, flat-blade knife (not serrated) and/or xmas cookie cutters if you have them. Inspiration / source material / sketches – we will be working approx A6 size or smaller as the designs will be used for cards / decorations etc. Kitchen roll, old clothes / apron, scrap paper (lightweight cartridge / sketch book).

Includes - Materials. Tea, coffee and biscuits.

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. You may transfer your place on a workshop to another person at any time.
