This workshop consists of 5 different exercises all designed to learn what these inks can do, each allowing the student to produce small pieces of art along the way. Each exercise will be demonstrated. We will start off by playing with the inks, adding alcohol and discovering the nature of different colours and what they produce. Then we will experiment with what other surfaces these inks can work on, and try them out.

Students will learn the benefits of working solely with one colour and the benefits of pushing and pulling and removing it, and also discover different ways to move the inks around. Please bring rubber gloves and aprons to protect your hands and clothes. It isn’t a super messy process, but the inks do stain. If you have them bring very small detailing brushes. Otherwise everything will be provided.
